The beginning of the end...

The trio was back again, for the second to last time. I went to the midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows last night. I was brought to tears. I know you are all probably laughing right now, but I was seriously upset. I cried in the book though too, so I knew it was coming. I was seriously impressed though by the progress made in this film; it was the most sophisticated of the series yet.

Another thing about Harry Potter: it was and is the literary movement of my generation; not only has it made millions, it has also encouraged children and adults around the world to read more and expand their imaginations.  That is one of the many reasons why I get angry whenever people dismiss or condemn the series without giving it a chance. If people would read the books and see the good it has done then they would realize the book does not support or negate any religions and that it is really a fabulous pillar in our culture now.

Once again, it was amazing. Go see it. Don't hate on me or my blog for being well-versed in Harry Potter.

Ruh-roh!

I usually make it a rule to never bring my computer to class; today, however, I did. I'm sitting in Survey of American Lit. I; I  absolutely love the professor, she's sweet as pie, but she drones on and it makes me so bored.  I promise I'm still taking notes; I'm just going back and forth between this and my notes to keep myself awake!

I finished my paper last night around one, and it doesn't sound too last minute either! Whoop, whoop!

Tonight, Tyguy is driving up and he, along with a good bit of my friends, are heading to a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game. It's college night for the Canes and they gave out a lot of free tickets to Meredith students. You know I jump on a free deal!

AND NOW, in big news... no, HUGE news, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 premieres tomorrow at midnight! I have to babysit before, but I already bought my ticket! I'm ridiculously excited about it. I know I've said it a million times, but I'm a huge dork... and proud of it! I've read all of the books at least twice, most of them more than that. Needless to say, I'm going to be pulling my hair out tomorrow around eleven if I'm not already in line at that theater!

Trust me when I say that you will hear all about it this weekend!

Well, I guess it's time to try and invest my attention into "Bartelby the Scrivener."

The world is coming to an end...

...mine is at least.

I have a paper due at nine in the morning and haven't written a single word yet, but what am I doing instead of that?  Sitting in the library... blogging. WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF?!?!?!

I may Google study inspiration tips to get me going... seriously.

I'd rather listen to Sarah Palin give a speech than write this paper. (that's a big deal)
