Halloween weekend has begun! Party number one is over, number two is tonight. I decided to be a peacock this year and have been a little bit worried about how it would turn out; I think it came together pretty well though. Tyler was supposed to be DJ Pauly D. I'm painting his skin a little bit orange-y for tonight's party, and I'll have more feathers, but here's a picture for you.
Like I said, don't judge too harshly; it WILL get better! Before round two of Halloween weekend Ty and I are going for oysters at his parent's house. Needless to say, I am beyond pumped. I am SOOOO glad oyster season is here. I went to the Oyster festival at OIB this month and bought the cutest oyster knife! I really wish I had a picture; I'll have to post one at some point. It's adorable though; the handle is painted red and has red and white polka dots (for NC State)!!
So, I've been thinking... it's time I buckle down on dieting. Since high school, I've been promising myself I'd eat better, workout more, yadda yadda yadda. Somehow, it has never lasted longer than a day or two. Look at the belly in that peacock dress!!! This Summer, I fully intend on not being embarrassed to be in my bikini; if I fail, I will either not get in a bathing suit at all, or invest in a tankini. I'd really prefer the bikini though.... REALLY!! I'm taking walking, jogging, and running for health and fitness. It's really a big joke; however, I think I am going to try and really do it. I'm also planning on hitting the gym two days a week, in addition to the walking for class. We'll see if it really happens; hopefully having it in writing will make me more determined to reach my goal. I guess I'll also have to cut out the ice cream. Starting Monday, I'll have a new outlook on life. I am also going to try and stay realistic.
I've had a pretty productive day today as well. I woke up, voted, decorated the house some for tonight, ate at ProCo, made 'corny' headbands for my suite girls, and fixed my blog up. Here's one of the corn headbands:
Not too shabby, eh? Well... I'm proud of them at least!
I've rambled enough for now. Happy Halloween, don't get in too much trouble!
