Cocky much?

Halloween weekend has begun! Party number one is over, number two is tonight. I decided to be a peacock this year and have been a little bit worried about how it would turn out; I think it came together pretty well though. Tyler was supposed to be DJ Pauly D. I'm painting his skin a little bit orange-y for tonight's party, and I'll have more feathers, but here's a picture for you.

Like I said, don't judge too harshly; it WILL get better!  Before round two of Halloween weekend Ty and I are going for oysters at his parent's house.  Needless to say, I am beyond pumped. I am SOOOO glad oyster season is here.  I went to the Oyster festival at OIB this month and bought the cutest oyster knife! I really wish I had a picture; I'll have to post one at some point. It's adorable though; the handle is painted red and has red and white polka dots (for NC State)!!

So, I've been thinking... it's time I buckle down on dieting. Since high school, I've been promising myself I'd eat better, workout more, yadda yadda yadda. Somehow, it has never lasted longer than a day or two. Look at the belly in that peacock dress!!! This Summer, I fully intend on not being embarrassed to be in my bikini; if I fail, I will either not get in a bathing suit at all, or invest in a tankini. I'd really prefer the bikini though.... REALLY!!  I'm taking walking, jogging, and running for health and fitness. It's really a big joke; however, I think I am going to try and really do it.  I'm also planning on hitting the gym two days a week, in addition to the walking for class.  We'll see if it really happens; hopefully having it in writing will make me more determined to reach my goal.  I guess I'll also have to cut out the ice cream.  Starting Monday, I'll have a new outlook on life.  I am also going to try and stay realistic.

I've had a pretty productive day today as well. I woke up, voted, decorated the house some for tonight, ate at  ProCo, made 'corny' headbands for my suite girls, and fixed my blog up. Here's one of the corn headbands:

Not too shabby, eh? Well... I'm proud of them at least!

I've rambled enough for now. Happy Halloween, don't get in too much trouble!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!

It won't be this ugly for long, I promise. :)

On my way

One paper is officially done, my room is clean, and I'm all packed for home.  I'd say that is pretty dag on productive!  Especially since it was Vampire Diaries night and we had corn practice!  Sara and I were bouncing off the walls (even though we were outside where there are no walls hehehe).  Speaking in funny accents, jumping up and down, and making funny noises REALLY made practice go by faster.  Snooki-ish? Maybe. Annoying to bystanders? Maybe. Do we care? No.
I've crashed now though; I'm watching Friends, writing this, and laying in bed. I'm calling Ty-guy, then hitting the sack!  You'd think that Diet Sundrop I had about an hour ago would have me going again!
My suitemate, Caroline, just got back from the N.C. State game, WHICH WE WON!!! Goooooo Packkkkk!!

She had tickets on the field and is giving us a play-by-play of the "best game of her life." Bowl game, HERE WE COME!!  Sorry for the loss Florida State fans!! Actually..... No... I'm not. Hehehe!!

Apartment Dreams

Next year a couple of my best friends and I are going to be moving into an apartment or townhome, and we are SUPER stoked about it!!  Every time I find something that I just have to have I'm going to share it with you... (Yes I know I should be studying, but who cares?!?)

Bloom for Improvement Kitchen Brush

Pole Dweller Ice Cream Scoop in Walrus

AND MY FAVORITE:

Food with Faces in Corn

All of these are in the apartment section of Modcloth.  I just love them!!

Small Talk

It is such a dreary day. All I want to do is curl up in bed and sleep, but my procrastination has gone on long enough. It's time I do some homework, especially since TVD is new tonight.
This blogging thing is really taking up a lot of my time too. I try to start working on a paper and end up on here, thinking of what I could do to make my blog better. I guess skill just comes with time though; noone starts out perfect!!
My roommate, Sara, and I went to Target the other day and she bought Taylor Swift's newest CD.

Needless to say, I've been listening to it nonstop. I used to really not like Taylor; I thought she was awkward and annoying.  Now, though, she's grown on me. I think part of it is that I appreciate her work more now because she does it all herself, and that helps me to look past her awkward stage dances. I also think she's a good role model for young girls, which is hard to find these days.

Tomorrow I'm homeward bound!! Halloween weekend is going to be great!  I am dressing up as a peacock! Hopefully it won't look TOOOO silly.  Both my parents, and Tyler's parents are having Halloween parties; one is tomorrow night, the other Saturday.  I'm also going to be studying my tail off and being crafty! I have to finish making corn headbands for my suite and I'm making our parade posters!

Last thing!! Cornhuskin' is next week! I am trying to prepare for what might be one of the most stressful and sleep deprived weeks of my life!  Go 2013!!!

What's on my mind...

  1. T. Swift's new CD is awesome. I like it better than Fearless.
  2. Some people just need to stop and breathe. Not everything is a big deal; just calm down, it will all work out, God willing.
  3. Go Pack!!!
  4. School is coming first right now.  I have three tests and two papers next week, it's time to buckle down.
  5. My self-diagnosed ADD is getting worse. My attention span is shrinking severely.
  6. It is STORMINGGGGG outside!!
  7. I just didn't wanna end on six, so here's seven...

Wishlist

Every once and a while when I find something that I really really really want, I'm going to post it up here to share it with you, and pine over it for a while.

First on the list is this leather jacket:

Don't you just love it? Personally, I've always thought leather was reserved for people with motorcycles and couches; however, my TVD addiction has led me to think otherwise.

They look so good in leather... hahaha! So, basically, I have to, no, I NEED to have this jacket.

Yes, I know I'm a dork; however, I could care less.

Blogging is silly. So am I.

For some strange reason, I've always seen journals and blogging as a waste of time.... This is probably because I'm incredibly lazy and have a short attention span (except for when it comes to The Vampire Diaries).  BUTTTTT, I'm going to give it a shot.  I think blogging will really give me an outlet for what I think; I think a lot though, so be prepared.

For starters, my name is Anna.  I was born and raised in a small town on the coast of North Carolina and am attending college in Raleigh.  I hope to return to the beach and teach English at my old high school, or become famous... whichever comes first.

This year, I've stretched myself thin; I'm trying to do a little bit of everything (homework, school traditions, go out, etc.) and it is realllllyyyyy made me stressed out. I may actually be losing hair over it (a ghastly thought, I know).  I have a wonderful boyfriend, amazing friends, and an awesome family; hopefully they can help me keep my head until the end of this semester.

I really love to read, watch movies, and listen to music.  I feel like by doing these things I can escape into another, much more relaxing, world.

As my blog continues, you'll learn much more about me; I think this is a good enough start for now though.
