Busy! Busy! Busy!

I'm so slack; I only wrote one sentence over break... My goal was two papers and a project. That only means that I have to work.... TWICE as hard now to get everything done!!! I did one paper last night, a project today, and I'm hoping to write one paper and edit another tonight in the library!! Wish me luck, because tomorrow night I have to write two more! Ah, the life of a procrastinating college student!

So, in the words of Professor Hinkle, "Sorry to lose and run, but I've got to get busy writing. Busy! Busy! Busy!"

Day 8: A thank you letter to someone who has changed your life

Dear Moma,

Since I wouldn't be here without you in the first place, I figured I should write this to you. You really are awesome; I know sometimes I take you for granted, but know that I do appreciate everything you do for me.  I'm lucky to have a mom who cares about me, wants the best for me, and makes me corn shaped earrings.  You are amazing at everything you do (except whistling and singing).  You always have a lot to say, but it's always worth listening to in the end, even if I don't realize it at the time.  I think you should really take a YOU day and just paint your toes, watch sappy movies, and soak in the tub; you deserve that and so much more. Thanks for being great; don't call me and go on about this! I'll get embarrassed!!

Love you,

Anna Catherine

Day 6: A moment you wish you could relive

What a coincidence that today's challenge is on Thanksgiving! The moment that I would like to relive is dancing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! It was a magical week that I spent in New York, leading up to the big event. This once in a lifetime event is one that I will cherish forever!

Day 5: A favorite pair of shoes

My favorite pair of shoes is no shoes. I really hate wearing shoes; if I could go barefoot more often, I would.
When I eat I take them off, and when I'm in class; basically, any opportunity I get, I take them off!

By the way, those are definitely not my feet. Mine are big and ugly; I like to think I have a good "understanding!" hahaha

It's funny that my last name is Barefoot, eh?

Until next time,
Anna Catherine

Day 4: A favorite quote

My favorite quote of all time is, indisputably, "'What do you want to be married to me for, anyhow?'  'So I can kiss you anytime I want.'" It's from Sweet Home Alabama, and it just melts my heart like a popsicle in July.

I know it may seem cheesy, but it's just so sweet and simple that it can't help but make you say, "bless it!"

Day 3: A favorite book

I must just be indecisive, because every single one of these challenges has been hard for me to nail down, so far!

I read a lot. Between reading for classes and reading for pleasure, I've probably read more than the average 19 year old. So, I have a lot of favorites. What I'm going to do for this challenge is make a short list of books that I have really enjoyed, then harp on one for a while.

(I'm a bookworm^^ hehe)
  • Harry Potter Series (duh!)
  • Twilight Series(guilty!)
  • The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
  • Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen
  • The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult
  • A Countess Below Stairs by Eva Ibbotson
  • The Reluctant Heiress by Eva Ibbotson

The Age of Innocence may be a little older, but it is just magical. The book is set in the late 19th century and spans to the 1920s.  The detail given and the complicated love story have the power to enamor any serious reader. It really melted my heart. I don't want to spoil the book, but the unresolved issues just tear at me, even a year after the last time I read it! Fun fact about the book: it was the inspiration for Cecily Von Ziegesar's Gossip Girl series (they are good little beach reads with an actual plot and many scandals)! The book is a difficult read, but definitely worth the time!

Call the WAHHH-mbulance.

I can't sleep.
I'm laying in bed, fully aware of how badly I need it, but I can't find it....
Yeah, that's me. ^^
After about an hour of laying in bed trying to sleep, I get up and take a nice hot shower thinking it'll make me feel better and get me to sleep... It didn't work, obviously.

So here I am, laying in bed... blogging... at 2:35... wishing I were tired. It'd be one thing if I had nothing to do tomorrow, but unfortunately, I do.
Tomorrow I have to get up at 8:45 for a class, then I have a break from 10-12. It's the ideal time for a nap, but I also have to squeeze some homework in. Then class from 12-1, followed by lunch, more homework, and possibly another catnap if I'm not asleep by 3:30 tonight? Then 3:30-5 tomorrow afternoon I have class. After which I have a quick dinner before my movie lab that is 6-8:30. THEN I'm going to the library to write 2 more papers with Caroline. Then sleep. Wow. Not fun.

However, in good news, I finished up another paper tonight, bringing this weekends total to 3! 6 more to go!!! haha...
Sorry for whining so much!
Well, I guess I'm going to try counting sheep once again, wish me luck!

Day 2: A favorite movie

I am somewhat of a movie fanatic. I've taken two film classes already, and I love them.  I also have the largest DVD collection of all of my friends on campus; so, choosing a favorite is extremely difficult for me.
I'm probably going to have to say Despicable Me is my favorite of the moment.

Between the star-studded cast, laugh-out-loud inducing scenes, and heart-warming message it is hard not to like the film. I know it probably seems childish, but if that's your opinion then you should watch the movie. You can't help but to like it!
